From the full turn-out & happy faces on everybody, we know that our students are ready for the new school year. Let’s go!

We are proud to share with our school community the recent achievement of one of our students “Bonfilio Dazzle Valerino Gyula” Middle School 7A, Bronze Medal World Mathematics Invitational Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

ICAS is an independent, skills-based assessment program which recognises and rewards student achievement. It is unique, being the most comprehensive generally available suite of academic assessments for primary and secondary school students developed annually comprising of Digital Technologies, English, Mathematics, Science, and Writing tests. For more than 30 years, ICAS is continuously improved and enhanced by the Educational Assessment Australia (EAA), an education group of UNSW Global Pty Limited, a not-for-profit provider of education, training and advisory services and a wholly owned enterprise of the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi believes that critical thinking, reasoning and problem solving are essential higher order skills for success in school as well as in the wider community. The materials presented in ICAS reflect this importance, providing the opportunity for students to perform a range of tasks using these and other skills. ICAS tests cater for a wide range of student abilities using contexts that stimulate students interest and engage their attention. The content of ICAS tests is not based on any particular school curriculum, but on skills essential for  success in various subjects at school and beyond. ICAS results provide valuable diagnostic information that can be used to assess student strengths and weaknesses and to assist teachers with the preparation of appropriate learning experiences

We are pleased to inform you that two of our Grade 11 students will participate in the Asia-Pacific Young Leaders Conference (APYLC) 2017 with the theme: Embracing Unity, Valuing Diversity. This event set the stage for young leaders from seven (7) countries, namely Australia, China, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and South Korea, to communicate their own diversity experiences; promote the experiencing of a diverse array of cuisines; promote education in traditional cultural attires and practices; and finally provide a space to meet new friends and colleagues.

APYLC 2017 includes a series of talks and panels by group speakers from Asia-Pacific countries picked through an extensive selection process. It also encourages the display of diversity that is felt throughout our community in arts, traditional cultures and innovations. The aim of this event is to bring awareness to the Asia-Pacific community in regards to diversity and to highlight the multicultural nature of our world.

BINUS SCHOOLS is sending 6 student delegates (2) students each from BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi, Serpong & Simprug) to the event.  Our representatives are  Kevira Deliva and Fadila Amaliah Prasetya. The students will be accompanied by a teacher Chaperone from BINUS SCHOOL Simprug and Mr. Peter Saidi, as the representative of the Head of BINUS SCHOOLS. This year, the inaugural conference will be held in Suzhou, china from 14^th – 20^th September 2017

Pengenalan sains untuk anak pra sekolah lebih ditekankan pada proses daripada produk. Untuk anak prasekolah keterampilan proses sains hendaknya dilakukan secara sederhana sambil bermain. Kegiatan sains memungkinkan anak melakukan eksplorasi terhadap berbagai benda, baik benda hidup maupun benda tak hidup yang ada disekitarnya. Melalui proses sains, anak dapat melakukan percobaan sederhana. Percobaan tersebut melatih anak menghubungkan sebab dan akibat dari suatu perlakuan sehingga melatih anak berpikir logis. Dengan demikian sains juga mengembangkan kemampuan intelektual anak. Anak usia dini adalah anak yang sedang membutuhkan upaya-upaya pendidikan mendukung perkembangan fisik maupun psikis yang meliputi perkembangan intelektual, bahasa, motorik dan sosio emosional.

Melihat pentingnya kegiatan sains terhadap perkembangan anak usia dini, maka untuk pertama kalinya BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi mengadakan “Science Workshop” yang diikuti siswa-siswi internal maupun eksternal. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih setiap anak dalam bekerja sama tim, melatih kreatifitas dan juga sebagai ajang siswa-siswi menambah hubungan pertemanan. Kegiatan yang diadakan pada tanggal 22 September ini mendapatkan animo yang cukup baik dan tanggapan yang sangat positif baik dari siswa-siswi peserta dan juga dari pihak orang tua.”Saya sangat antusias dengan acara Science Workshop yang diadakan oleh BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Kegiatannya sangat bermanfaat dan anak saya terlihat senang ketemu dengan teman-teman baru. Saya harap akan ada kegiatan seperti ini selanjutnya” ujar salah satu orangtua siswi (eksternal) yang mengikuti acara Science Workshop hari itu.

Hal yang dapat terlihat adalah BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi sangat memperhatikan perkembangan intelektual anak-anak Indonesia baik dari sisi akademis maupun sisi karakter. Tidak menutup kemungkinan kami akan menyediakan kegiatan serupa dan lainnya yang bermanfaat bagi siswa-siswi internal ataupun eksternal karena kami adalah “ A Home For Learning”

UNSW adalah salah satu universitas kelas dunia yang diperingkatkan ke-45 di dunia dan merupakan pilihan nomor satu perusahaan top Australia UNSW diakui dunia berkat pengajaran yang inovatif, penelitian yang terdepan di dunia dan fasilitasnya yang canggih. Sabtu, 14 oktober lalu beberapa siswa siswi grade 11 BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi mengikuti lomba yang di adakan oleh UNSW yang di adakan di Universitas Prasetya Mulya.

Tujuan BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi mengikutsertakan siswa siswi dalam lomba ini adalah untuk melatih kepercayaan diri dalam menampilkan kemampuan di hadapan banyak orang, mengasah kemampuan akademik dan juga melatih kerja sama tim. Siswa siswi yang mengikuti Lomba tersebut di bagi dua tim. Untuk tim pertama ada Charles, Shifa, dan juga Aldi. Dan untuk tim kedua Greg, Mira dan Gerald. para siswa siswi BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi terlihat percaya diri dan juga antusias dalam menjalani rangkaian lomba.

UNSW juga berperan penting dalam Pendidikan sains, UNSW berfokus pada masa depan. Mulai dari menyediakan air minum bersih hingga menciptakan obat HIV dan terapi kanker. Inovasi penelitian UNSW membantu mempersiapkan jalan untuk masa depan yang lebih baik untuk setiap anak anak dunia.

Ketika tiba waktu pengumuman juara, maka siswa siswi BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi mendapatkan gelar juara ketiga dalam kompetisi UNSW trivia. Wajah bahagia terpancar dari masing masing siswa. Dengan keikutsertaan para siswa siswi dalam lomba diharapkan mampu melatih kepercayaan diri serta lebih menambah wawasan para siswa siswi yang mengikuti lomba. Dengan ini kami yakin bahwa BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi akan menciptakan siswa siswi berprestasi dalam sekolah, maupun lomba tingkat nasional ataupun international. Disaat lingkungan belajar BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi yang nyaman dan mampu mengembangkan bakat anak dengan baik. Karena kami “A Home For Learning.”

Jumat 13 October, ada yang sedikit berbeda di BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Nampak terparkir rapih beberapa mobil dinas anggota Kepolisian. Para petugas keamanan terlihat hilir mudik untuk menjaga kelancaran lalu lintas di sekitaran BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Kunjungan ini bermaksud sebagai bentuk silaturahmi dan mempererat hubungan antara institusi Pendidikan dan apparat penegak hukum di Indonesia.Setibanya Bapak Kombes Pol Hero Henrianto Bachtiar,SIk,MSi di lokasi, langsung di sambut dengan baik oleh menejemen BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Tidak selang beberapa lama, Bapak Kapolres berkeliling melihat kondisi aktifitas belajar mengajar di BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Siswa-siswi pun menyambut dengan antusias kehadiran Kombes Pol Hero Henrianto Bachtiar. Tidak jarang beliau menyapa dan berbincang dengan beberapa Guru, Staff dan juga murid murid. Di sela-sela perjalanan Bapak Kapolres menyusuri ruang kelas dan fasilitas BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi, beliau mengatakan “wah kalau begini saya jadi ingat masa masa saya sekolah dulu” tuturnya dengan wajah tersenyum. Beliau berpesan kepada siswa dan siswi bahwa Polisi adalah sahabat anak. Jadi para murid tidak perlu sungkan dalam menyapa anggota Kepolisian.

Setelah sesi school tour selesai, Kombes Pol Hero Henrianto Bachtiar. duduk bersama jajaran menejemen BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi dan beliau menyampaikan bahwa beliau senang sekali atas sambutan kunjungan beliau di BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi. Beliau menyampaikan “institusi Pendidikan adalah penghasil generasi penerus bangsa, dan apparat penegak hukum Indonesia termasuk Kepolisian mendukung penuh dalam menjaga kenyamanan dan keamanan negara. Bersama kita kuat”. Dengan kunjungan Bapak Kapolres ke BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi besar harapan untuk terciptanya kenyamanan dan keamanan di lingkungan belajar demi menghasilkan generasi penerus bangsa kang berprestasi dan menjadi harapan cerah bagi bangsa Indonesia di waktu mendatang.

Being a small school does NOT mean that we are small on effort. 😊  Despite having only three (3) High School classes, we pulled out all the stops when conducting our first. University Education & Career Fair on Friday, 19th January 2018.

   MATH & SCIENCE WEEK  Guided by our School Mission which is to inspire excellence through the joy and passion for learning & innovation, and a compassion for service, our School was abuzz for our first BeeSTEMolic 2018, which was held from 29th January – 1st February 2018. Students were kept busy throughout the week with fun Math & Science activities, class experiments and an Engineering/Robotics demonstration to further excite their senses and learning acumen in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The event was coordinated by Ms Sherry Astari Sudoyo & Ms Yustina Dian Wulandari, our HODs for Math & Science.

Our Language & LRC Week held from 23rd – 26th April was quite a grand affair for our School. Our students were kept busy with a wide range of activities which included a door book cover design competition, a storytelling and puppet show, FREDTalks, poetry recitals, drama performances and finally, a schoolwide book character costume parade cum assembly.

Many familiar characters from children’s classic fairy tales e.g. Little Red Riding Hood & Peter Pan, popular science fiction e.g. Star Wars and modern literature e.g. Harry Potter, made their way to our assembly on that day, much to the delight of everyone!     We hope that our students had a great time indulging & immersing themselves into the world of books, literature and characters. We sincerely hope that the love for reading & literature will continue to grow strong in our hearts & minds.

We are delighted to have our School’s solo team come in as the inaugural national champion for Indonesia in 2018. Our school team will be competing in the World Finals in Auckland, New Zealand from 1st – 8th July 2018. Other participating finalists include Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, UK and USA, just to name a few.

Holiday is almost over and school time is coming back. To equip the parents and students with the information needed, BINUS SCHOOL Bekasi held the Parent Student Orientation Day for two days on 19 & 20 July 2018 at the Multi-Purpose Hall. This session was especially arranged for new parents and students from Early Childhood Years to High School.

In this session, the parents and students had an opportunity to obtain first-hand information from our very own Principal, Ms. Anwin Samsudi, as the speaker. The teachers and non-academic staffs were also be introduced to the attendees. Other than that, some new facilities were presented and gained great attention from parents. For the Early Childhood and Elementary students, the school provided fun outdoor activities, guided by our very own teachers during the Orientation Session, so they could have their own activities with other students.

We are pleased to welcome the new BINUSIANS to our Parent Student Orientation Day today. Lots of enthusiasm and excitement was seen during the session. Hopefully, they got all the information needed about the school.

As part of our School’s Affective Education Programme and in commemoration of Internation al Day of Friendship (30 th July ) our EL 1, MS 7 & HS 10 students had a fun-filled day when regular timetable was suspended to make way for our annual “happy-to-get-to-know-you” Acquaintance Day on Friday, 27th July 2018.

The activities were designed to provide our new students with an opportunity to get to know their school campus, new classmates, peers and teachers as well as gave them an opportunity to learn more about what it means to be BINUSIANS, all through fun and games. Welcome Home, BINUSIANS!

Our students’ project entitled Taking Biotechnology Back to the Kitchen was one of only 11 projects (out of 200+) selected to be presented at the prestigious FAME LAB Plenary! This is indeed an outstanding achievement from our students! Hip Hip Hurray, BINUSIANS! 😊

World Scholars Cup Global Rounds Melbourne, Australia  17th – 21st August 2018 

Our school teams which consisted of 14 students garnered a total of 38 silver & 18 gold medals at the event.

6 of our students qualified to the Tournament of Champions (TOC) which will be held in Yale University, USA on 15th – 21st November 2018. To make this triumph even sweeter for our School, all other 9 students received a special invitation to participate in the TOC due to their exceptional performance at the Global Rounds!
